2026 marks Galerie Elca London’s 49th year representing the annual Cape Dorset annual graphics collection!
Much has changed over the past 49 years, including six moves—from the Town of Mount Royal to the Eastern Townships. I fondly remember the early years, when devoted collectors lined up for hours before the doors opened on “Dorset Day.” Some waited overnight to secure their preferred prints, and I would bring doughnuts or pastries and coffee to keep them going.
The internet has transformed how people acquire prints. Rather than wait in line, clients now search online for galleries that accept reservations before opening day. Although our contract prohibits sales before the official opening on October 17, clients may reserve images in advance.
No invoices will be issued before October 17. Effective immediately, prints will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order requests are received. We will let you know whether your reservation is confirmed.
For our American clients, we are happy to store your purchases until the tariff issue has been resolved.
