About the Gallery

Galerie Elca London was founded in 1960 with the goal of promoting excellence in contemporary Canadian art. During the mid 1960ís the focus was broadened to include the art of Canadaís North. By the end of the 1980ís the scope and quality of our Inuit art collection began to demand our full attention. In March of 2007 we relocated to new quarters in historic Old Montreal. We are conveniently situated between the city's most prestigious boutique hotels and the downtown business core.

The gallery specializes in only the highest quality works of Inuit art by internationally renowned artists as well as some of the more talented younger artists. Our artworks can be found in some of the nations most important museums, as well as major corporate and private collections.

Inuit art is still quite reasonable in price, although the market has risen considerably as Inuit art continues to find a broader audience in the United States and Europe. Our prices start at as low as $50.00 (Canadian), however many of the more significant works sell for several thousand dollars. We always try to maintain a wide selection of works in every price range, however in that these are all unique works of art, occasionally there can be some gaps. It would be our pleasure to send you photos of artworks currently on hand at your request.

While the sculptures and prints on these pages are available for purchase (we will try to keep the site up to date) they are intended as more of a sampling of the artworks currently on hand. Our purchase policy is extremely simple: If you are not 100% satisfied with anything that you purchase simply return it for a full refund. All of our works come with the "Igloo Tag" certificate of authenticity indicating the name of the artist and the community of origin. For more information on Inuit Art check out our Inuit Art Info Page or our links to more sites that explain in detail about Inuit art.

We ship worldwide with UPS and insure fully in case of loss or damage.
